SETTINGS FOR CONNECTING TO RESOURCE'S ADSL

MODEM INSTALLATION GUIDE for area Jawabarat & bandung

DON'T connect your modem at the beginning of this installation. First Insert CD, connect your modem when prompted.

Setup as follows:

1. Insert CD and let autorun take you to first prompt. If autorun doesn't work, double click on setup.exe in the main folder on the CD-Rom.
2. Click thro first 4 screens - Next, Yes, Next (Other service provider), Next (WAN driver)
3. In Communication settings choose: a. Leave as VPI: 8 b. Change to VCI: 81 c. Leave encapsulation as: RFC2364 PPPoE Encapsulation d. Leave modulation as: Multimode
4. Click Next then Next and wait for "preparing installation"
5. Click "Yes, install software" then click "Finish"
6. At prompt, now plug your modem into the computer's USB port.
7. At prompt, hit "Yes" and computer will reboot.
8. After reboot a dialup icon will appear on your desktop. Double click on the icon and enter your Username and Password (see welcome letter). Username and password are case sensitive, so please type carefully. Check "Save password" and press "Dial" to connect to the Internet.
9. In order to avoid a buzzing on the line, you will need one ADSL filter (small white phone splitter supplied in box) per extension in your house. We supply extra filters at £2 each.
